RAISIN RACK TO SUPPORT
WALK NOW FOR AUTISM SPEAKS

      Raisin Rack Natural Food Market announced today that it has agreed to be one of the corporate sponsors for Walk Now for Autism Speaks in Columbus for the second consecutive year. Raisin Rack also will be organizing a fund-raising team at its Canton location for Walk Now for Autism in Cleveland.
      Raisin Rack will engage in several Raisin’ Awareness fund-raising and educational activities at both stores to be determined within the next month. Details will be communicated through Raisin Rack'website, emails, facebook and twitter accounts, and at both store locations.
      The dates for Walk Now for Autism Speaks are Sunday, Sept. 26, in Cleveland at Voinovich Park and Sunday, Oct. 10, in Columbus at The Ohio State University's Schottenstein Center. The Cleveland walk starts at 10 a.m. and the Columbus walk at 11 a.m.
      "Raisin Rack is again pleased to partner with Walk Now for Autism Speaks to provide support for this important cause that affects many families," Raisin Rack owner and president Don Caster said. "This is our major sponsorship event of the year and our staff is committed to doing its part to raise awareness within the community."
      In addition to Raisin Rack's corporate sponsorship in 2009, the staff's teams in Westerville and Canton combined to raise more than $5,000 for Walk Now for Autism in Columbus through donations from the sale of designated products in the store, the sale of puzzle pieces at the checkout registers and generous customer donations.
      For the second straight year, Raisin Rack will be participating on walk day in Columbus with a tent outside the Schottenstein Center, where free gluten-free product samples, information and coupons from vendors and partners will be offered.
