The Westerville store will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and the Canton store will be closed. Both stores will reopen for regular business hours on Sunday, July 5. New gluten-free baked goods coming to Westerville cafe The cafe at the Westerville Raisin Rack will be adding delicious gluten-free desserts from Cherbourg Bakery to its menu starting Monday, July 6. Cherbourg, a local baker, will offer lemon bars, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, creme puffs, strawberry white chip shortcake cookies, ginger chip brownies, crazy moist chocolate cupcakes and mini marsala molten chocolate cakes. Vitaminwater Van Coming to Westerville Store The vitaminwater van will be at the Westerville Raisin Rack on Friday, July 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., offering a summer special on Glaceau's vitaminwater. Stock up with a 10 for $10 deal that runs all day on 20 oz. bottles of vitaminwater and vitaminwater10. To make the deal even sweeter, take the register receipt to the van and receive a free 12 oz. bottle for each bottle purchased in the store.

Autism will be topic of presentation at Westerville store The 2009 Autism Grass Roots Tour is coming to the Westerville Raisin Rack on Tuesday, August 25. Raun Kaufman, CEO of The Autism Treatment Center of America, and Kristin Selby Gonzalez, director of autism education for Enzymedica and the mother of a son with autism, will present a free lecture at noon entitled Autism Hope Action Plan. Ginger root eases nausea from chemo, study finds Ginger, long used to soothe tummy aches, helped tame nausea from chemotherapy, a study found. The Associated Press reported that people who took ginger capsules several days before a chemo infusion had fewer and less severe bouts of nausea.

Swine flu and what you can do naturally Swine Flu has reached the pandemic level in the United States. At least one case has been reported in Ohio. It is important to see a medical doctor if you suspect you might have contracted the virus. But there are some preventive measures you can take. Some suggestions include drinking plenty of fluids (water, herbal teas, fruit juices) to prevent dehydration, eating foods high in vitamin C such as fresh citrus fruits, and frequent hand washing.
